Want to Add Some Effects?
It's very easy. Follow the steps below or check out the video beneath the steps.
1. Click the flyout menu at the top of the right side of your properties panel (the panel that is on the bottom left).
Select EFFECTS.
2. Scroll to video effect you ant to apply and pick one. For this example, we will use the effects called WAVE WARP.
3. Drag the word WAVE WARP onto your video in the timeline. You have just added the effect (told you it was easy!).
4. If you wish to adjust the effect (it's length, brightness, color, etc.), go to the top left panel and choose EFFECT CONTROLS. As you might guess, this is where you control all of the effects. Drag the numbers around and make selections and watch what it does to the effect. Pretty cool huh?
BUT I WANT A GREEN SCREEN EFFECT!
No problem. First you need to get a green screen video. Try getting one from Youtube and converting it to an mp4 at save media.website. Import it into Premiere Pro and place it on top of the video that you want it to appear. Simply follow the steps below to complete the process.
1. In the EFFECTS panel, type the word ULTRA and the ULTRA KEY effect will appear.
2. Drag this effect onto the video line ABOVE the video you wish to apply it to.
3. Go to the EFFECT CONTROL panel. Click the eyedropper and click on anything green in the video to make it disappear.
I'm Done...How Do I Get It On My Site?
1. When you are finished, select FILE-EXPORT-MEDIA.
2. Click the name of the video (which will be shown in eye-burning blue) and rename it. Save it to a folder that makes sense as it will default to an Adobe folder and you will never find it.
3. Make sure that the file type is Quick Media or H.264 then click EXPORT at the bottom of the screen.
When finished, it will be an mp4 video in the folder that you chose in step 2.
4. Upload the mp4 file to Vimeo or YouTube so that you can put it on your website.
