ROSTERS
We are not allowed to post rosters this year so players will be told what their starting team is. We say "starting team" because the teams change throughout the year. As we engage in the "Competitive Cauldron" and all aspects of each athletes performance is tracked, the team assignments are likely to change. We encourage all players to play to their fullest potential - every day, every play, in every way. Remember, if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you!
There are a multitude of reasons to make roster changes throughout the year. Please understand that all changes are designed to be in the best interest of the player as well as the team. Changes usually occur because of a need to improve technicality, tactical awareness, physiological components or the psychological mindset of an individual. Changes are not punitive, rather they are designed to make the player stronger in a certain core area. Common reasons for using floaters are shown below.
Provides an opportunity to play at a higher level and quicker speed.
Provides an opportunity to play at a lower speed in an attempt to work on a new aspect of the players game.
Provides an opportunity to try a new position.
Provides an opportunity to work on being more of a vocal leader.
Provides an opportunity to help a team when they are missing players or playing against a stronger opponent.
Provides an opportunity for more minutes on the field.
